This was a really touching story about two people who had so much to overcome from their pasts, but managed to work through everything and find the love they both wanted and needed. Ben the fish out of water instant-dad and Chloe, kind toy store owner had some sizzling chemistry and so many sweet, intimate moments between them. This story really gave me butterflies because Ben was so protective and pulled toward Chloe from the beginning while Chloe's heart found the kid's broken hearts right away and she understood what they needed. I loved his family and the two kids so much, especially the nephew (Zach) was so great. The sub plots were rich and well drawn. Great to also revisit friends who we met in the first book in this series, Kissing Mr. Right. There was laugh out loud humor and so much heart. I can’t wait for the next book.

MM has penned a modern day romance between a well know Chef and a local toy store owner in suburban Denver. The polar opposites meet and the ice at the North Pole melts. The road to a true trusting romance HSAs a few pitfalls, but the couple eventually pave the way to marriage and happiness. This is an excellent read for the genre.....ER
This was a fun read, for sure. The two main characters have some baggage, but the story never became maudlin or bogged down. I especially liked that way that Chloe turned her negative history into something positive for her and her community, as well as the way Ben was working to move past others’ perceptions of him and some of his own behavioral demons. The story is a great reminder of the way that unexpected interactions can really have affects on people — providing us with opportunities for growth and joy, if we are open to that. It was an upbeat, hopeful story that I gobbled up in one sitting. Yum!
I’ve been waiting for Chloe’s story since reading Kissing Mr. Right, the first book in this series. She and Ben delivered – this was a sweet and emotional love story of two people who needed to learn to believe in themselves and each other to find true love. Chloe had a lot to overcome from her past but I loved the ways she learned to be strong and how she softened Ben’s rough edges. The writing was fun and fast-paced and drew me in from the start. I’m excited to see what the author has in store for Chloe’s friends Sam and Jenny next.
Absolutely loved this story! Chloe owns a toy store in Denver and is recovering from a bad marriage by helping other women do the same. Ben is a TV Chef with a hot temper who wants, or rather needs, the building her store is in to open a restaurant. The sexual tension sizzles off the page! Chloe is sweet but has the backbone needed to stand up to Ben. She sees the true man beneath that temper. As the pair grow closer, their pasts are revealed and the reasons they can't be together pile higher and higher. I loved the first book in this series, It's Raining Men, but I think I almost loved this one more. I need to go read that one again to be sure. Ms. Major layers in the emotion in her writing and squeezes your heart! I highly recommend!
I tried to keep an open mind and let the story and characters develop. But honestly, I couldn’t finish it. The main male character really rubbed me the wrong way. Plus to be honest with you, I didn’t like the way the domestic violence theme was used in the story. I felt that initially in the very beginning that there was potential for it developing well into the story, but then seemed to fizzle out. Again, it could of just been because of Ben and my inability to warm up to the Bully.
I really liked this romance story. I like cooking and enjoyed the parts where the character Ben the Beast was cooking for Chloe and his family. Chloe came from an abusive relationship and was not looking for or interested in any man for a relationship. Her goal was to help other women that had been in her situation and works in her very own toy store. Ben left his successful cooking show to help take care of 2 young kids and was not sure what he wanted to do with his career as a cook. It's surprising that these to even fall for each other, but there attraction is undeniable. I highly recommend this book.
I adored Ben and Chloe and the whole Haddox family! This book had everything for me emotion, humor,adorable kids, loyal friends, drama, and romance. I really rooted for Ben and Chloe to get their HEA. For them to stop getting in their own way and finally realize they were perfect for each other!!

My only wish was that the viral video from the restaurant had gotten cleared up. It seems unfair that the scum bag wasn’t dealt with properly and Ben had to take unfairly take heat for it.

I am looking forward to continuing the series as I have already read the first 3 books.
