First let me say i was won over being that the book was short enough to be read in one sitting and it is a standalone. This book is the perfect but not typical love story. Tierra has some major insecurities that Richard was able to help her get over. The book was full of hot and steamy sex scenes. This book touched on such a major age difference in relationships as well as domestic violence. I am now looking forward to the spinoff about Keshia and DeShaun.Product details

This book was very interesting and i loved it. Even tho Tierra was much older Ricky he was grown. She didn't do anything to him because she knew what can happen. Her patents was all for it because it was them back in the. But his parents was so wrong. They could've at least hear their side of the story before jumping to conclusions. She didn't deserve to be treated that way. But I understood why. But reality kicked in and Ricky's parents realized they were destined to be together. They finally let her in. She waited he finished school. And they are so happy. Great Job
For me this started out as slow read And almost like something I read before.. I'm glad I let that book go and read this book for what it was.. After a while I got into it and couldn't put it down.. I loved the relationship Tierra and Ricky had.. Age shouldn't be a factor especially when both are of legal consenting age.. I loved how her family welcomed him and didn't make him feel bad because of the age difference.. Now his parents on tha onther hand were a mess.. Glad every1 was able to come together in the end.. Ma fav part was how Tierra handled her 2nd cousins in tha bathroom.. This book touched on self hate and worthiness based on your skin color.. I hated that Tierra didn't feel as pretty as her twin because they were different shades.. Glad Rick was able to help her overcome that.. All in all this was a good read and I hope I'll be seeing more of Rick and Tierra..
This was a really good love story. There were a few sentence structure errors but not enough to take away from the entire storyline. It also held my interest from cover to cover & I actually read the entire book at one time! This was definitely not your typical romance or relationship. Sometimes you hear people say that it is ok for the man to be older than the woman but you hardly ever hear people agree with the woman being older than the man. And in Tierras' case, 15 years is quite a difference. I figured that Rickys' father & the men of the family would pat him on the back because he was "the man", but me being the mother of boys know exactly how his mother was feeling. I dont believe I would have taken it as far as she did but you would definitely have to prove you have my sons best interest at heart & you are going to better him! Im glad that Tierra finally seemed to get over her insecurities, even after everything with Dashaun. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves to read about love & as a welcomed relief from the usual drugs, killing, drama, fighting in some urban fiction genre book. It can truly be considered as a stand alone novel, but im waiting on part two to see what happens with DaShaun & to see if Keisha eats those words from the bathroom. I was already familiar with First Lady K's work but not D. Jay and I must say they didn't disappoint. This read actually had one looking at things from different perspectives. The more I read If loving you is wrong, the more I didn't want it to be right. From the beginning Tierra and Ricky shared a chemistry that was undeniable. Yes age played a factor but the heart wants what it wants. It was crazy how insecure Tierra actually ones but didn't need to be. I loved Tierra's family and how they accepted Ricky regardless of what his age was. Ricky's parents shocked me because they went overboard trying to protect their son instead of allowing him to live his life and experience whatever would've been. I felt so bad for Tierra and Ricky but he went above and beyond to prove his feelings were real. I understood why Tierra wanted to take things slow and once she and Ricky got on the same page I was waiting to see what more would blossom. Ricky's parents had to get a reality check to realize it wasn't about them, Deshaun was thirsty and Keisha should've learned to keep her mouth closed. There were a few bumps and obstacles thrown at Tierra and Ricky but I'm glad things worked themselves out. I can't wait for part 2 just to see if those involved will finally want to be right knowing that them loving who they do is all wrong.
I loved the relationship between Tierra and Richard. As I read the book I could actually see them come to life. I really enjoyed to different shout outs to the universities and colleges especially the HBCUs as well as North Carolina. I can't wait for part two to come out.
This is a great read. I laughed and u also cried. I read this entire book in one night because I simply couldn't put it down! If you haven't checked out the book, you are missing out!!! D. Jay had me hooked after reading the Bishop's Wife... I'm a fan for life now.
This was a great read. This book is a great example of how love is love. When you find love, age doesn't matter. There was a big age difference between Tierra and Ricky, but he didn't let that stop him from pursuing her, and eventually winning her heart. I'm glad that they didn't let anything stand in the way of their happiness. It's like the song says, If loving you is wrong, then I don't want to be right. Great job First Lady K and D. Jay.
